People need to readjust their brains when it comes to dictionary definitions. The dictionary isn’t a law book that says how words have to be used, it’s a reference guide so when somebody calls you a “dumbfuck” you can look it up and see what they meant.
That’s why words also have different definitions in different contexts, and they usually list those contexts in ranked order of popularity. That way if somebody calls your dog a bitch, but they’re a veterinarian, they’re being technical instead of judgmental.
Just remember, the dictionary is not the Constitution. The words contained therein are not law, they’re the pirate’s code, more like a set of guidelines really.
