based on the image alone, the student deserved the extra points!

Right? And in crazy Liberal Paris too! Was so glad to find out he’s not a sheep.

I took it as Trump is going to let Kim nuke something.

I don’t know what it is really, but in any case, this was really well-meant. Heck, I could have this on display on my laptop myself. Would just drive Libs crazy, they wouldn’t know what to say.

It’s one of those ambiguous images that both sides can appreciate. We see it as them having forged a bond slightly beyond friendship, into brotherhood territory, while the left sees it as two dictators having a “whirlwind romance” while the world goes to hell around them.

I like it though. These type of images usually happen accidentally, but this ended up being a really good one.

I don’t get it. The image is derogatory.

No, not for him, believe me. My students know I’m a Trump supporter - I explained the steal and the fraud to them, showed them the racist comments from Biden, asked them to look up information for themselves regarding the way he behaves around kids - they did and they were shocked. I showed them the picture with Trump praying with all of the Black people in the White House - they had never seen it - and that was a real shocker to them too. They did believe Trump was utterly racist. My student’s 17, not very political, so this picture was really meant to be a nod to me - or so I think. You could find it derogatory but in context, it is not.

Ha ha ha. I do it discreetly. I’m in France, so, you know, there are some things I can still do. I never tell them outright that this is what I think; I give them the facts, ask them to think about why they did not know about it (a quick search in DuckDuckGo to prove I’m right); I tell them they can have their own opinion, that it doesn’t have to reflect mine, but the most important thing is having the facts straight. Oh, and also let them have a talk about Trump being banned from social media - what it implies etc. One of my students mentioned 4chan a few days afterwards. And I said, wait, what, what is that? Pretended I didn’t know. They were doing some research too. I know Q isn’t a thing here, but I was proud he was doing some research on his own.

Oh, and well, I’m a woman, an immigrant, all religions in my family: people can’t attack me. They can accuse me of nothing. When they try, they fail miserably. It helps.

Yeah but the picture infers that trump and North Korea will start a nuclear war. That is derogatory. What is the context that would make an insulting picture into a compliment, other than the fact it is unlikely that someone would have a desktop picture of someone they dislike?

Oh man, he’s 17, he knows I like Trump; I explained the peace deal and all. I am 100% sure he doesn’t even know there were talks about Trump starting a nuclear war. I see why you’re saying that but remember he’s French, 17, only learnt about Trump this year from me - explained the peace deal and how he played the media.

Or maybe you’re right and it was derogatory. Should I take away the 2 extra points I gave him? 😀

Lol I hear ya. I guess you should give him the benefit of the doubt.
