I have relatives who used to live in Springfield. I forgot the exact area, but it was on the outskirts of the more densely packed downtown and immediately surrounding area. Their entire neighborhood probably had 3/4 of an acre or larger lots most backed up to woods or similar.

Visiting there you didn’t even realize you were in Springfield you thought you were in a surrounding Suburban town.
