I'm a biologist who used to even work in virology, funny enough (though it was research on the HPV vaccine at the university of Arizona, not necessarily this virus. I just have some experience in this field.
The whole 6ft thing was straight-up against heavy droplet "spray from say, sneezing, or really mouthy wet speakers, that spray when they talk. Well, masks essentially solved that problem. Masks didn't really resolve respiratory airbone virus spread though, unless everyone was wearing good N95 or P95 masks, which they weren't. Everyone was wearing this basically homebrew style cloth masks, or the surgical masks like a Dental Hygienist would wear. Not really effective against an aerosol that might spread for 75-100+ feet.
6 feet was an invented metric to deal with large droplets, yet somehow forced on the public against the idea of aerosol/airborne spread, which imo, 6 ft, vs 3 ft, vs 15ft, it was all nonsensical. You wore a mask, fine, it helped stop against mouth sprayers who were maybe asymptomatic, which imo, in of itself would be very low chance of spread as viruses tend to spread through the actual symptomatic dispersal with very very rare low rate of transmission of so-called "silent shedders" of any virus, just by nature of how viruses work.
So Fauci talking about the CDC think 3ft is ok now vs 6 ft just shows me, a scientist, how absolutely full of shit he is and how absolutely full of shit the CDC is.
I am not one to downplay Covid as a fake thing. I think it is a very real plague and a danger to certain demographics. I FEAR Covid-19 for some vulnerable people. But holy mother F, for most people it is not a real threat. Holy mother F, what the F is up with the 6 feet? It's 100% buillshit value if people are all wearing masks, imo.
Yeah, that’s why people say wearing cloth masks in the office all day is like having a pee section of a swimming pool. The mask made sense to me if we are stopping snotty people from projectile droplets and this is exactly what Fauci said in March.
The research on asymptomatic spread had been done before June and it showed that it’s complete bullshit in this case. Same thing with reinfection. It can occur but it’s so rare that it’s worthless to generate policy to protect against it.
This whole thing is a numbers game and MSM and people in general are terrible at it. The death rate is clearly not bad but you shill a high number and people will think it’s bad. They are just bad at it but try to explain it to them and you are denier or a conspiracy theorist.
I could go on and on why this should not have been a big deal but I’ll just get worked up.
I’ll tell you right now though what transpired this past year will not be resolved until every person who pushed for it even when the “science” said they should stop is destroyed. You may think that’s extreme but you haven’t fully realize the millions of people who were killed, lives destroyed, and amount of suffering that resulted from it. If brought into perspective I doubt any reasonable person would think public hangings was unjustified.
