I disagree with one thing you said. We DO know that Ashli Babbit was murdered without any justification. In fact, in this situation the State owes us a very detailed and precise justification and until there is one provided we can rationally assume that it was NOT justified given all we do know plus the video. Maybe this sounds like I'm assuming guilt without due process. But I'm accusing the State. Think about it, does the State get due process? What happens when the State simply declares it is justified and declines due process (like a stolen election)? ... What I'm getting at is - there is NO presumption of innocence given to the State. - So the appropriate action of the State is to charge the officer of murder and then give that officer due process. They don't want to do this because that will expose the murderer in the shooter's ear.
If this was justified then they would be able to show the documented rules of use of lethal force, then show how the victim's actions justified pulling the trigger.
Edit: I posted before asking for a debate with the "Ashli is Fake" crowd. If that's you and you want to debate please use that post. The point of this post is a little advanced for you.
Ashli Babbit was a violent protester masquerading as a Trump supporter. Remember, Trump asked his supporters to peacefully protest -- people who were smashing their way through the Capitol were not Trump supporters. Ms. Babbit committed suicide by cop. Treating her like some kind of innocent martyr is just as idiotic as the leftists treating George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, etc as innocent martyrs.
You don't understand the the gravity of this. Ashli is just a patriot like the rest of us who was murdered by the State. I have a little problem with tyranny.
BTW - the list of people you provided are not in the same category as Ashli.
No, Ashli was not a "patriot". Patriots were actually supporting President Trump, and following his instructions re the January 6 rally, not doing stupid violent shit that greatly diminished his power and political support, and eliminated any chance of getting the fraudulent 2020 election results overturned.
She was in the act of smashing her way into a secured area that led to the House Chamber, and she was wearing a backpack which could have contained lethal weapons (firearms, explosives, chemicals). She could easily have been an Antifa plant (she sure was acting like one), and Capitol police did what they needed to do to prevent her from getting any closer to the Chamber. If she had turned out to be an Antifa operative, and had succeeded in getting through to the Chamber or other area where legislators were located, and had killed one or more pro-Trump legislators, we'd all be howling about how the Capitol Police were part of the "deep state" and let her through on purpose, because if they'd just done their damn jobs she would have failed in her murderous mission.
I am not interested in any purity tests for my patriotism. Some would call running into a combat zone as "doing stupid violent shit that greatly diminished" someone's political power.
Since you have taken a religious piety perspective of how true patriots behave, I would ask you if this is ok for Christians to do to other Christians?
I was there but I did not go inside the Capitol. The energy of that day was so peaceful. I've watched hours of the videos people posted even going inside the building. It was frenetic energy in there but overwhelmingly peaceful and PATRIOTIC. In fact the true patriots inside the building protected our Capitol better than the Capitol Police.
I'm not excusing any vandalism or violence. Honestly I did not see Ashli involved in any breaking of anything. I think the only reason she went through that window, was because someone thought a small female could unlock the door from the other side and she offered. Naughty behavior. But none of the police officers standing with her seemed to care, and most of those people walked in with officers.
If she had been Antifa I would still be demanding the State be held accountable for the murder. Its not just wrong because Ashli was on our side.
