Eh its not as bullet proof as you think. They can block you from crypto trade exchanges blocking you from exchanging for fiat. And buying items direct with crypto is hit or miss at best....so in essence yes they can seize those too.
They can't block you from selling it for fiat to other people. Nor can they stop you from making purchases with it, or trading it to someone else to cash out from an exchange.
Monero allows you to anonymize your transactions. All the tools are there today. And tomorrow promises decentralized exchanges.
