It's the reason why films and music From the past is so distinguishable. The 60's 70s 80s 90s each had their own specific sound and aesthetic and "feel", but pretty much everything from 2000 onwards looks and sounds and tastes and feels the same. 20 years of the same. Boring, bland and played out. Only thing that's changed in the last few years is the level of political bullshit awkwardly crammed into everything. I guess that's what we get for praising the talentless and celebrating mediocrity.
