Two points here...

  • Police are paid employees. They're paid to follow their superior's orders, how unethical, immoral, idiotic, authoritarian it may be. It's the job.
  • Private property. Always follow the rules set by the owner of that private property.

Negative! Police took an oath to defend the constitution and protect the innocent. Not to be used as corporate political pawns. You're not going to change my mind. That officer is supposed to be a servant of the public. If he knows his commands are unethical and immoral he has the ability to refuse and take the heat. I would rather have the balls to take the heat than resort to tackle an old lady. There were way better ways he could have handled that. If he's just going to "follow the rules" then he's just a shithead.

The cop is acting as a servant of the public by enforcing the rights of private property. There is nothing immoral about it.
