.45-70 is a disgusting round to put in a revolver. I want to shoot it so badly.

Honestly, it was originally a black powder round. Unless it's loaded for a modern Marlin lever action or something like a T/C Contender, I'm betting the recoil is mild- less than .44 Mag, but will have a feces-inducing muzzle blast and fireball. 'Murica!
