About a month ago, a user posted to ProtonMail's subreddit complaining about how they recently had both of their 2 accounts banned. The reason was simply for having more than 1 free account.
Per their Terms and Conditions:
Having multiple free accounts is not considered an acceptable use of our service (e.g. bulk-signups, large number of free accounts created by a single organization or individual). Free accounts can also only be created and maintained by their effective users (e.g. it is not acceptable to create accounts in anyone else’s name and later transfer credentials to that third party).
The Company reserves the right to take actions against any free account considered abusive in that regard.
Assuming this was a 'CYA' term, and not something that they were actually looking to enforce, I asked their support directly. They confirmed that having more than 1 free ProtonMail account will get your accounts banned. This is also true regardless of how many paid accounts you have.
This isn't stated anywhere when creating an account, and in fact was not the policy until December 2020, when they quietly changed the Terms and Conditions, from the following:
Having multiple free accounts is an acceptable use of the Service, as long as it is done in a proportionate and reasonable way (e.g. bulk sign-ups or large numbers of accounts created by a single organization or individual are not considered reasonable use of the service). Free accounts can also only be created and maintained by their effective users (e.g. it is not acceptable to create accounts in anyone else’s name and later transfer credentials to that third party).
The Company reserves the right to take actions against any free account considered abusive in that regard.
Despite having two paid ProtonMail accounts (and several more, lightly used free accounts), I have had no choice but to seek alternatives.
This doesn’t bother me at all and I’m happy to pay for their service.
I use their VPN, and couldn't be happier.
Thst said, I'm ALWAYS ready to drop a product if a company pulls any WOKE bullshit.
Proton sent out a newsletter taking a stand against ccp pressure on Hong Kong
I went premium that instant
This is an important topic for me. I was going to get a Protonmail account this week for my War Hamster activities and I'm also going to be needing a VPN.
If Protonmail is cucked in any way, I can't risk it. Being doxxed would cost me.
Slightly off topic, I couldn't be happier with the "Make handshake icon bigger and bright red" tampermonkey script for patriots.win. it makes it very easy not to miss Handshake accounts.
Where do you get this
It was in a post here. I'll dig it up and reply here with the link. (at work now, will do this evening)
If you can find any email service better or more secure than ProtonMail please let me know because I couldn’t find any.
Nobody has suggested one so far, so I'm going with Proton Mail until I have a reason to do otherwise.
May as well make them work to steal all of my data.
Does it work well with accessing other countries' Netflix? I'm using NordVpn at the minute but it doesn't work as well as it used to.
I have noticed this for Netflix, amazon, random payment processors, and a few other sites with nord (I have them and proton). I have heard 2 rumors about it:
A nord is selling these companies something that let's them tell if your using their VPN(most likely imo).
B all of these companies have a way to see if your using nord but not proton vpn
I’ve never checked but I assume the Nord IPs are a known thing.
it wouldn't surprise me.
I'll switch as soon as my payment term is up. Unfortunately,I think I was suckered into a long term plan... In the beginning I was happy...
Same. Mine is up in 2022 :(, but luckily i have proton as well so there is that.
Ah, bro, ditch nord when your term is up. Not gonna say who's best, but I've had very good experience with surfshark so far.
Will do. Unfortunately I think it won't be up for renewal for some time yet...
Did they though? Why is this news to us?
Because many people here were told to switch from gmail to proton mail. This is important news to me because when I opens my several proton mail accounts, this was not the case. I probably have lost access to those email accounts and I need to check them.
Same dude.
OP is a whiner.
Yeah! I’ve had 2 free accounts with them for 3 years! It was just recently that I was logged out of one of them on my phone app and when I tried to log in it said only one free account allowed to be logged in at once.
I thought that was odd but not a big deal.
Now hearing about this policy it’s a bit sad that they did this with no clear notification and if OP is right that’s quite disgusting I could get banned because they changed the rules even though I even paid for VPN for a while!
"OP is a whiner."
And he wants to be the "product" being sold.
Ditto here. Well worth the price, and I have no problems using it.
Seriously, it's a mail service, not a charity.
Same. I have multiple accounts and VPNs with them, they get better and better. Calendar is out now!
Wanting "free" everything is a huge part of why we have a small handful of companies controlling everything.
Why is this even a pinned post?
ProtonMail is awesome, and provides you with the same protections the Swiss give every thing. I’m not saying associate it with Swiss bank accounts, per se, but the level of protection is the same.
Should be a downvote for posts that deserve it, and the mod who can think for themselves wouldn’t have ever pinned this without an agenda, or ignorance.
Settings/ Community Stylings/ OFF. Then you can downvote posts.
Maybe not the hero ee deserve, but certainly the hero we need
Thank you!!!!
Thank you.
Is there also something is Settings that allows us to use strikethroughs and/or emojis?
The comments use markdown, so you can use markdown syntax to
strikethroughsomething.Thank you.
I looked up Markdown Syntax and it looks like something I can figure out.
Emojis are on mobile, afaik, and strikethrough is usually some kind of supersript thing.

Wow, cucks.
Fewer white people, which makes certain greatest allies of ours very happy
https://patriots.win/p/12hkvqCeSB/x/c/4DyMtrFgheT
It's because PM has done some shady stuff in the past. Some could argue it's a honeypot.
What I do know is that it's another company that will ban you for whatever reason. Even worse, the people signing up don't fully understand how the encryption works. Only message to other PM users are encrypted, everything else is not.
Some argue that everything is a honeypot. "Some could argue" is a weak non-argument.
And you can send encrypted to other services, using PGP. But of course, Protonmail doesn't magically make the external accounts use it.
The Swiss offer less protection than the US. The only possible benefit is that they don't have to respect US subpoenas, but, the local authorities could still subpoena them on behalf of the US.
Cookies, IP address, MAC address
Where’s Barron the Cyber Expert?
Handshake account with spaced out website of no credibility. Virus. Fuck off commie.
How do we know OP isn't a paid shill for an alternative?
Social Media infiltrated advertising like this is the new way things are done
If you were wise about your privacy, you should start your search for private comms on the basis that anything made for you is an access point for the NSA.
I literally built mmy own phone to get around this. Now I'm just working on making it better and maybe marketable.
Unfortunately though, there's a paradox here. If everyone went looking for private comms on the basis that anything premade is compromised, you'll never actually get to communicate. Not unless you have a huge network created specifically for the purpose.
That's what accounts/profiles are supposed to be for.
This is why many of us use multiple browsers at the same time among other privacy and obfuscation methods.
If you want to get serious beyond using VPN(s). Then set up a laptop running one of these OSs:
Qubes OS
Tails OS
Gotta have a beefy laptop for Qubes. My mid 2000s hp couldn't handle it.
My early 2010s HP couldn't handle it either. It's the budget Intel chips combined with the cheap memory in the systems.
Especially if they use eMMC instead of a hard drive like mind does. Whole lot of older HPs that are still usable speed wise have a 32GB eMMC storage chip preventing Windows 10 from properly updating and running. Mine also has this problem.
firefox multi/temp containers masterace!?
FYI, using Tails gets you auto-listed
auto-listed?
You get watchlisted for using Tails. Same deal for Tor. Came out in a leak years ago.
Ahhhh, gotcha.
Follow up; how will this watchlist be different from any of the others I'm already on?
Yeah sometimes I check the husband's email, because he doesn't keep up with it. I made him his own email apart from our paid one...because I didn't know fucking Protonmail was going to combine them ALL. So he can't get his email on his more "formal" one without getting all of mine too. And now that I added it, I can't make a new one that is the same since it already exists (even if you make it inactive) I find that obnoxious when I paid for it. But I guess they want me to pay for the more expensive pro account or whatever. Which I didn't really have a use for. And even then I can't move that email to its own shit. I think I tried that actually then I downgraded back.
I go through the trouble and I pay for my email service.
interesting thought for people who think protonmail is anonymous and doesn't log
Yeah, and what's to stop them from taking your money and selling your data anyway? More money is more money.
That's pretty stupid if you have a family computer for kids or someone checks their account sometimes from a relatives computer or phone.
My god, heaven forbid a family share a computer nowadays 🤦♂️
Could a VPN possibly be a solution to have 2 accounts? One account while off VPN; one while on?
found u chloe ayling
u/DavidGlowie and for those too stupid to be able to find a non auth-error nord login, u/BidensHairyLegs use diz instead
sure vpns are used by torrenting folks who live in fear of getting a isp letter, but i myself nord/privvpn just for unogs/netflix, or the few sites where 1 of them infinite free trial smartdns gives a poor connection without a vpn
as far as software piracy goes, i dont really play vidyagaymez so...i did download aomei, revo and tuneskit though
What does YSK mean?
An acronym for "you should know."
Thank you!
https://lmddgtfy.net/?q=what%20does%20ysk%20mean
A) Why you need so many emails...
B) Why dis post stickied...
C) From an account that was created 29 minutes ago...
Sus as fuck.
It’s probably one of our faggot mods on an alt. Or we are comprised.
Even original mods have stopped acting like thenselves
This place is acting more and more like a fed honeypot each day. Especially after doggos “left to work on all communities”.
Especially since there are plenty of rampaging shills that are not being deported on a timely basis, degrading the whole community as a result.
I’ve noticed that since the domain name change, everything has been flipped upside down here. Mods are always acting very suspicious. It seems like they have a hierarchy of ones that do the deportations and ones that actually run shit.
How would we even know if we are a honeypot? Do good earned us about the logout technique before he left.
You’re paranoid. Take your meds.
It can’t be that hard to deport them. You click a button and boom, banned. Makes you wonder why they haven’t.
There was this one retard who said he supported abortion yet he never got banned. Forgot his name but my reports never did anything.
Why ban pedes over single policy issues? That sounds like a terrible idea.
They aren’t a pede, or maybe not yet. Abortion is one of the largest things we need to work on. It’s like someone “supporting” Trump and also wanting to ban guns.
Yeah I have to agree. Been with TD since 2015 and the energy here is very different lately. Like the community has always been edgy and tip towed the line but now is many posts are just flat out hate and depressing. What happened to the 24/7 MAGA rally vibes
Communism happened. It drains people.
People just need to take a step back and recalibrate. There is still plenty of work to still do outside of .win
We need to bring our high energy red pills to the real world so the average person can see them.
It feels more and more like shitty normie facebook every day. I remember the energy and the meme madness of the 2016 election season. Now, we've been overrun by normies and boomers. Sad.
Did we let an infiltrator in?
The new mods are fags. The old mods Probably had their accounts taken over by the feds.
This exact same thing happened on reddit when there was the mr_trump subreddit. When everyone migrated back to the_donald the mod team became ultra mega giga zionists.
I honestly don’t think these mods are the same people. I know one of you mods is reading this. Prove that you are who you say you are.
So much of this shit lately....
Maybe it's a massive psyop honeypot Q tard conspiracy theory where the single most solid, long lasting group of Patriots to ever run an internet forum (the first to ever break free of Reddit) have been swapped out or....
Occam's razor: The 2020 election / Country got stolen from us and the entire world came down on top of us all and the entire America First movement is doing everything it can to stay fighting for the possibility we can turn it around.
Times are fucking rough. Everyone is cynical. Memes are shit quality. Garbage Hopium news links are more common than actual news. The Donald, the whole community, Mods included, are trudging through the greatest American tragedy in history to keep this shit alive. It's not easy.
What is easy is to quit and bitch and complain.
This mod team is solid. The only piece of shit faggot was Covfefe and he publicly self deported to steal our namesake domain and talk to WAPO.
Thank you for all that you do.
That’s all I wanted. Covfefe was a fat cuck anyway.
If it wasn’t for TD I’d be left feeling much worse, and much more hopeless about everything that’s going on. TD is the one place I can feel comfortable expressing myself freely with other likeminded individuals. What you guys do doesn’t go unappreciated, so thank you for everything. I’m sure it can’t be easy.
I’ve been randomly signed off repeatedly the last few months from PC and Mobile too, which was said to be a big issue when this site was first created. It probably has been invaded by the feds.
Edit: it’s funny stating that I have been repeatedly kicked off for no reason, which was a warning sign given by mods months ago, is downvoted. Take it for what it is
The site was created a long time ago, issues then aren't issues now. As long as any random password doesn't let you log in The Donald is secure.
The fact that they aren’t even addressing it gives it more validity.
Always were
Indeed, Not even an hour ago this account was created and it already has a sticky, and on its only post.
And with the amount of new posts we've gotten in recent days, it is like finding a needle in a large haystack.
As someone who regularly browses new, it’s not that hard to find posts. And who posts it doesn’t matter if it’s a quality submission.
All you paranoid fuckers always got 4Chan if this place is “too compromised” for you. Have at it, and go party with all the FBI shills over there too.
Personal and professional accounts.
Because you use one for online a Citicorp where you know your email address is passed around like syphillis and you use one for personal use where hardly anybody knows the address.
Proton says FAFO. I’ve always been really happy with proton, both their vpn and mail service. Since you can have up to five emails under one paid account I’ve never had the need for more.
They're my main form of email, and I don't see the need for an extra email account as it stands.
OP and others are looking for temp mailbox services like mailinator.
Interesting. I exclusively use protonmail. But have not had a need to open multiple free accounts though. That said I wonder if there is a good reason for it. Maybe lowering overhead cost? 🤔
I’m thinning part that and part spam prevention.
Good point.
Considering the servers are in a bunker, I assume you meant the pun also 😀
Wait. Really? They host their severs inside a bunker?
Read the words. OP is a dumb faggot. They aren't saying you can't have multiple accounts. They are basically saying you can't have a large batch of accounts, like to run a company, and transfer them around to people. A single individual with multiple accounts is fine and even says in the quoted text.
With the big swing toward alt-tech I can understand why they would change it. I'm not sure how they could tell if I'm using a VPN though.
The issue is not the policy in of itself, it's the fact that enforcing it requires them to track their users by logging their ip or device fingerprint.
Basically you have to compromise privacy to enforce it, which is not good if your whole company's business model is based on privacy.
Not many people in this thread understand this.
Not many people in this thread can read or they would be calling the OP a dumb faggot.
It's an interesting change in their policy, but they are still the gold standard when it comes to user friendly encrypted communication. I don't see how this should be reason enough to not use them. Remember kids, use Signal, a VPN and ProtonMail because your communication provider is working for the enemy.
Message are only encrypted if you're emailing other PM users. Most people don't have an PM account so most of your emails are not encrypted.
For private conversations stick to Signal or Session as they were design for this from the start unlike email.
True, but hard for the average person to get PGP up and running so most don't do it.
Fortunately PGP is now built into Thunderbird so you no longer need an add-on. People should use it.
I'm not a fan of Signal but they don't store you encryption keys. We know this because if you add Signal to a new app your old messages don't carry over.
I like Session better because they don't ask for a phone number but whatever works for people. Signal is still better than Protonmail as email was never meant to be private but Signal and Session were.
Do you know how encryption works?
EVERYTHING has been man-in-the-middle at the carrier level since Snowden
And yet there is no shortage of people screaming about a lack of central planning here instead of doing such far more securely offline like they should be if they were intelligent and/or not intel miners.
And of course they get all pissy when one starts to question their intellect or allegiance.
Pretty much. Whenever there is a man in the middle, there is a vulnerabillity. Vulnerabilities are not a software problem, there a human problem. Someone somewhere takes a payoff and leaks the encryption keys. Or they receive an order from the gov to do so, since we don't have digital privacy rights apparently.
You're confusing public keys with private keys. You need someone's public key to send them a message, but only the corresponding private key (only held inside your device) can decrypt that message.
That is not how it works.
If they're not online the encrypted message stays on their server until they do come online.
You don't understand how public/private encryption works, do you?
The message can travel through anything and still be safe because it's encrypted with your public key. Only your private key, which is only on your phone, can decrypt it.
What you're think of is symmetric encryption when Signal and most of the internet uses asymmetric encryption.
Do you even know wtf you're talking about? Read the abstract. It literally says, "We then prove the security of Signal’s key exchange core in our model, demonstrating several standard security properties. We have found no major flaws in the design, and hope that our presentation and results can serve as a foundation for other analyses of this widely adopted protocol."
What you're thinking about is symmetric encryption. Signal uses asymmetric encryption. It's safe. It has been audited several times.
I think it’s just that they provide a service at $50/year, and ppl having multiple free accounts undermines that.
Capitalism and private company rules. I like both and love my paid ProtonMail account for both personal and business emails.
Had an account with them once. Can't remember my login anymore, but since it exists out there somewhere I guess that means I can't sign up with them again. Weird. Monitoring this thread for good alternatives.
You can still use their paid services, that is, if you like Protonmail enough to go that route.
Can't say enough good things about ProtonMail. I have my entire company on it plus multiple domains.
I pay for everything.
Personally, I don't understand why people insist on all this free stuff from tech companies. Lots of talk here about the "gibs" but then complain when a for-profit tech company limits how much one can freeload.
Not to mention things from big tech are usually “free” for a reason, and its never a good one.
Same, I love their service, they keep adding features.
I smell a honeypot
What's a good free e-mail service? Everything requires an e-mail or phone number these days.
Ideally you should host your own email but it cost money.
I pay my domain provider $15 a year and I get two mailboxes. I own the domain so I can't be canceled and my emails are not being sold to the highest bidder either.
If the service is free you're the product
Tutanota
Location in Germany has my suspicious.
Especially since the German government order them to set aside non-encrypted messages of one of their users.
https://www.theregister.com/2020/12/08/tutanota_backdoor_court_order/
No one should consider email private. Stick to Signal or Sessions for private conversations.
That's why everything is fully encrypted from the start.
"What's a good free e-mail service?"
TANSTAAFL
No such thing. Pay for email. It's not expensive.
This isn't a bad thing, they let you have 5 addresses under one account...plus it's a great service, just pay the people.
Because they won't let you take advantage of them?
I'm not giving a cent to companies who publish shit like this:
https://protonmail.com/blog/diversity-in-tech-why-it-matters/
Did you actually read it? It is not woke progressive nonsense.
They’re hiring diverse talent for merit based reasons, not skin color reasons.
They support a 3rd party initiative that teaches migrants how to code, so the migrants can have a chance to assimilate more successfully.
They support the notion that women can work in geeky tech jobs if they want to.
Nowhere does it have any of the “equity” language of forcing outcomes.
I clicked the link expecting to be repulsed and after reading it twice, couldn’t find anything to criticize. And I’m a highly critical curmudgeon.
No one needs fucking migrants. Take care of your own country first and then decide if taking in migrants is more beneficial than further improving your country. Hint: it isn't and never will be.
Agreed but for the ones already there, might as well make them productive.
There's plenty of "productive" work in the country they came from. We don't get productive people from those countries, we get lazy coward leeches.
Like they point out though, they operate data centers globally, so hiring people in different continents and time zones is advantageous and makes their service better.
As far as the lazy ones, which I agree are a problem, those are notably not the ones learning to code and then going to work for a cool tech company like ProtonMail.
In any case this is clearly not the same kind of wishy washy nonsense we are used to seeing when we see "diversity" mentioned. There's nothing here that signals that the company has gone woke.
Didn't downmod you btw. They should not be allowed to "learn to code". IMO. The advantages of modern society should only be given to people in modern society. These people need to stay in their countries and fix them before they are allowed to upgrade; otherwise we're preventing their own countries from improving.
Almost no one gets it, unfortunately.
Having that on their site is probably a form of bribery payment to keep the woke mob at bay
The digital equivalent of bending the knee or having a blm sign on your yard.
Can I convert my free emails all to paid though under a single paid account?
I'm sure you could write to them and ask
No one should be using Protonmail anyway, lots of odd things with them a simple DDG search will reveal.
You should be running your own domain and your own email storage. The only person that can cancel you is yourself.
Not only is it simple to do, but cheaper than Protonmail too! For example, gandi.net gives you two mailboxes with the purchase of a domain at $15 a year. You own the domain, and the contents are not being shared.
Also, email should be consider public. Protonmail is only encrypting message to other Protonmail users. So email coming from and out are not encrypted and nothing is stopping PM from storing those in plaintext if given a warrant.
For private messages stick to Signal or even better get Session as it doesn't use a phone number. Email was never design to be private, but Signal and Session were.
It is always crystal clear that PM is only encrypted with other PM users.
I've seen many users think the opposite. The word encryption gets thrown around a lot and people tend to get lost and follow the crowd.
Then those users are low IQ
Why is this being downvoted? It's good advice.
Because people don't know about shit like this:
https://protonmail.com/blog/diversity-in-tech-why-it-matters/
Good tech but a cucked company, so unfortunately I can't trust them. I host my own email.
Them being another cucked company is reason enough. They'll cancel you at the drop of the hat for being on the right of AOC.
But we also have this too. https://privacy-watchdog.io/truth-about-protonmail/
The only safe solution is to host your own email.
Thinking you're somehow "privately" sending email is kind of a joke in the first place. You're wasting money if you use Protonmail.
Who cares? They are limiting how many free accounts someone can have, big deal.
This is such a liberal type of post. Crying because what the company is offering for free apparently isn't enough for some.
What kind of gluttonous commie needs multiples of a free service??
Whining for gibs is unmanly and degenerate.
The concerning thing is they advertise how private they are, but to track this, they are tracking you.
Sounds like the "anonymous" service portion, is a little too aware of user identity. Paid accounts are trust-based. Anon accounts are NOT. The company wants you ID'd.
DANGER WILL ROBINSON.
Yeah it's a shame they won't out all of those ANTIFA types that use the service to coordinate violent "protests" that cost the lives of over 20 people..
Their paid mail service is worth it. We need to be throwing money at any sort of privacy oriented services that aren't silicon valley operated.
Boo hoo. Run your own mail server. It isn't hard.
Welcome to patriots.win new sign up.
Whats your favorite thing GEOTUS did in his first term?
So? I use PM and that was clear to me when I signed up. It's in their terms, you get one free account otherwise you risk getting the boot.
I used the free account for a short time, long enough to figure out it was well worth paying for. Now I have business and personal accounts as well as 2 paid VPNs with them.
You want free? Go to Gmail where you're the product. Want privacy? Put your money where your mouth is and pay for their excellent product and service.
Wow. Proton Mail's gonna he pissed at me and my 7 accounts. Sounds like you need to learn how to internet there buddy.
This has not been my experience
Anyone here NOT using a VPN, or using google chrome or gmail need to stop what you're doing and stop using the internet like a dummie.
You ARE being tracked. They are selling all your web traffic and patterns of behavior on the internet to advertisers, to governments, and it is being permanently stored. This isn't a conspiracy theory.
Your ISP is selling your data. Google is selling and storing your data. They WILL be implementing a social credit score. Google already designed it for China. China links all text messages and activity to a phone number. Google helped them do it. They utilize facial recognition. Facebook scans all your photos, saves the metadata (GPS location, device, mac address, IP, etc) and attaches it to all your photos and profile.
Imagine a large white board with sticky notes and strings. They tie all your activity and patterns and build a huge profile about you. Your device, your IP address, the wifi networks you connect to, the websites you visit. They even record how you type, how often you press backspace, etc.
If you're not taking your internet privacy seriously, you're not ready to fight a political war. You're a weak link in the chain. You should take it seriously, even if you're not doing anything illegal. They WILL persecute you based on your politics and beliefs. They WILL oppress you. They WILL develop a social credit score. It's not a conspiracy. They've already began putting all the pieces in place and have openly admitted, publicly, to wanting to implement this.
You need to use a combination of tactics. A VPN is a good start. Then upgrade to brave or a degoogled chromium or TOR browser on the safest settings. Learn to deactivate java scripts from running. Erase anything on the internet that ties you to your real name. Assume anything you do on your phone is spied on, including your text messages and emails. Phones were DESIGNED to be spy devices. Tell your family and friends the ONLY way they can communicate with you is through protonmail or other secure methods that take privacy and anonymity seriously. Force them to switch too if they wish to still communicate.
It's not easy to protect privacy and remain anonymous, even for those of us who are techie. So you have to do your homework and spend hours researching and studying. Otherwise you're just another DUMMIE on the internet using the internet like an oblivious sheep.
"We do not track your data!" vs "We have identified these accounts belong to you!"
Whilst this may be a screw up with the algorithm like when youtube banned thousands of accounts for "hate speech" last time, they should just include a maximum number. I have 2 accounts on most services. Business/private and sometimes a spam account that I give up for surveys and so on.
This probably belongs in privacy.win.
Also this does not surprise me. Protonmail is not intended to be an anonymous mailbox service like mailinator.
I have two free accounts with them. One for serious, biz using my name. The other with an anonymous and hardly ever used. No issues yet.
I don't get why you need multiple free accounts anyway. Stop being cheap and buy a VPN.
Who is going to make a conservative version of Proton mail?
"Don't complain. Build."
Move to Switzerland. Build. Rough life. LoL!
I don’t feel the need to have two proton mail accounts. By the way, to the person who posted this, are you aware that if you’re drunk and you get caught driving drunk the police will put you in jail and after court you’ll have a prison sentence? I’m sorry if your liberal, you won’t understand this at all.
I have 3 proton mail accounts. I created the first alt account a year an a half ago, the third about a month ago. I have not been banned. OP is full of shit.
Blockchain email.
I paid $48 for a year of ProtonMail Plus. Such a small price to pay to not be tracked.
There is no such thing as not being tracked no matter what any of the sites and apps say. We are ALL being tracked, 24/7, worldwide, as long as we connect to the internet, have a phone, ever established an email address and/or social media account. Even VPN isn't truly really keeping anyone 100% undiscoverable. It's all false sense of security.
Tutanota is a good alternative, I've been using it for a year now
Tutanota is the best one to recommend.
I think some cheap asses need to learn how to hose their own email at this point.
Hey, handshake, I have six and one paid. No issues.
It would be nice to be granted two. Many people like one official/personal and one casual for when they don’t want to use their full name or something. Could always have to split the storage.
Hows the cum sum yung gai at google cafeteria?
Ouch. I have two.
I use paid protonmail and VPN, good service. A paid account allows you to create up to 5 other alias emails which go into the same account. So what's the issue? I use most of mine to organize where emails go. So with the paid version you can get use 6 emails and log in with one account. If you want more use other services. Or if your worried that your paying for two emails and might be cut off send them an email, explain you created the accounts before the new rule and get a grandfather exception.
Part of being an adult to sorting shit like this out, instead of bitching about here. My tint is peeling on my car, which came tinted from the dealership and I need to deal with it to get it covered under warranty, bitching about it isn't going to get it fixed.
Another good tip is to export your emails to several backups. I got all my emails from closed and open accounts on Thunderbird that isn't connected to the internet, that way I have all my emails to search old stuff if needed, good to have a backup locally incase of internet issues, or if accounts get shut down.
I got a free account at gmx.com
No they won't. I have 3 and all use the same recovery account. Learn to read. They don't want you to create a company's worth of free accounts and transfer them around.
Thanks for the heads up. Last I knew you could have as many free proton accounts as you wanted.
the other email services are free because they sell your data.
I understand their terms. It is just a bit harsh. They could close all but one accounts and give you the ability to choose which one you want to keep, or convert them to a paid account. Closing all accounts could target unaware users, while spammers are smart enough to use VPNs and avoid getting caught with multiple free accounts.
Changing their TOS like that was a dick move.
It is important to watch them, but I don't think we should cancel them just yet.
