They make some pretty amazing LED's that mimic yellow incandescent very closely. Also some pretty awesome Edison style led bulbs, they don't get crazy hot, they don't use much electricity and they last a long time.
LEDs dont (yet) give a nice spectrum of light and dont dim all fancy they way incandescent and halogen bulbs do. People are working on it, but the LED thing still lags in the aesthetes well lit paradise
