A true atheist, like a true scotsman, doesn't exist, but something approaching a true atheist follows the mandate to question everything, and only follow what logically makes sense. And this stuff doesn't.
These ain't atheists. They definitely believe in a higher power, the power of the prince of lies, who has whispered sweet falsehoods in their ears, to obey without question, to never look at the "Why" or "how", to merely take his words on faith, and to disregard all others.
The bible does not say the next trial or usurper would be an atheist, in fact, it says quite the opposite, that it would be a false prophet, claiming to know the word of God, while preaching the words of Satan. Don't get sidetracked or fooled by a handful of people who insist on asking "why?" to everything from the flapping of a butterfly's wings to the way an apple doesn't spontaneously combust, concern yourself instead on the people saying "to question me is to question God itself, seek not Truth, for the only Truth you need comes from me alone", for no man can truly understand His entirety.
