I own a house that would be perfect as a rental property for a family. I’m letting it sit empty while all this shit is going on. I had thought about buying a multi family property and renting it out as a secondary income stream but again, I’m not going to until all this shit is done.
This bill is clearly unconstitutional, and should never pass. But there’s a chance it may so I’m going to hold tight.
This is how you eliminate mom and pop landlords. They will be forced to sell for pennies on the dollar. The banks will own all the rental properties and be paid by the government to let "hard working families " live rent-free.
Removal of non-paying tenants will no longer be possible thanks to the government and therefore you will either have to give away your property or resort to physical removal.

All my friends that have rental properties are selling theirs. Between property taxes at 3% a year and rent holidays, it's a bad business
