Yeah used to be that way but now the military is pushing this racist shit. It is sad because the military has always been ahead of society as far as treating black people equally sometimes not by much but still before civilian world. Probably one of the biggest catalyst for making people no longer racist. I was in with people who said they had never seen black people before joining.
Then there's the many in my black family who served in the military saying "we're all green."
