Yeearrrrp. A guy I know just got whatever the chief position at the "office of diversity, equity and inclusion," (or whatever the position is called at whatever the new branch/"office" is called) in the Navy [edit: think actually] it's Air Force. He's older... maybe early 50s. Always got along well enough with him, but his politics are as "progressive," as they come. I'm very vocal on FB, and he's never commented, but we're polar opposites. That said, he came in to my old workplace (a garage) for work on his car — I was underneath, and he told my boss to tell me that I'm a "great American," and that he basically appreciates my patriotism and policy stances even though we disagree...

but all that said... Yeah, he just got this bullshit position. He's an openly gay man, in the Navy, and I met him through treatment when I was in a halfway house about 9 years ago. He was kind of a "mentor" and sponsored (in a 12 step program) TONS of the guys in the house I was in. The house hired him briefly, and was ultimately let go after TONS of rumors of.... well... abuse, began circulating. Rumors abound about him being inappropriate with many of the young men — vulnerable and weeks into sobriety/recovery — and having relationships with at least 2 of them (one of these kids is dead now - relapsed, while still in the house, shortly after all this and ended up in a coma before family decided to pull the plug. Really sad. Not sure how much was related to this or just his own demons). I remained cordial enough (innocent until proven guilty and all that) with him after that, but lost any remaining respect I had for hiim. But I guess what I'm ultimately getting at is... our military is going to shit, and it's because it's been infiltrated by perverted ideas like this, and brainwashed morons willing to implement it and make it the cultural norm w/in our military... where it has NO place.

Our country is in danger... and is being intentionally and systematically put in danger. But at least a couple gay generals get to feel like they're doing something "progressive" lol
