Doesn't matter. Masks are already ineffective so making it less effective means nothing. Remember, it's not about keeping people safe. It's about visibly showing who is afraid and compliant.
I took my buddy to a strip club for part of his birthday and they made us wear the mask at all times. The bouncer even bothered us and made us pull it back up between sips of our drink. One of the girls wore a sparkling mesh mask that was clearly useless. The point is she was wearing a mask and that is all they care about. We left after finishing our first drink.
Part of the reason this nonsense has been dragged out is that it eventually becomes ingrained. Society (at least the brainwashed part of it) is now fully committed to this insanity and will never give it up.
Before y'all come down too hard on them, they were making masks pre-coof as well. One type for running in sub-freezing weather that helped heat and humidify the air coming into your lungs, the other was a restrictive-type used to simulate high-altitude training. This looks like a modification of the first one (without the neoprene).
I can't necessarily fault NB for making a buck off the sheeple. Maybe they'll learn being stupid has consequences and hurts sometimes, even if it just hurts the wallet.
