The point of this analogy is that we as a society have become really soft in raising kids. If you don't do the dirty work and discipline by the time they get to be teenagers they are gone. Forget about instilling social virtue and respect for law at this age because they are far too gone.
The Democrats and elites don't want us to use patience and firmness in raising our children because they have a vested interest in disorder hence their disdain for the nuclear family. Chaos is control and they have already wrestled control from public education by teaching about rights instead of what is wrong or right and now they want to sever that last cord between the child and parent.
I hope you don't own a dog. Dogs can't make the association you think they can.
You don't housebreak a dog by hitting it, shoving its nose in the mess, or scolding it. That's animal abuse. And you ARE punishing the dog.
This place is attracting the crazies.
Bad analogy dude that’s not how to properly housebreak a dog.
You should look up how you should do it, and you’ll probably find it improves your analogy.

mateus -- yes you are right I apologize for making that statement. I think I meant to say that you need to be firm but fair and you need to stick with it. I never hit my dog and he learned quickly. I think I got off track. The point was that when you discipline a child it is not the child that you disapprove of it is the behavior in the child that needs to be fixed. If you don't address it early it just gets worse with time. Do the work early in life and you will have a good kid, adult, and citizen.
Sorry for sounding crazy
Yup.
Rewarding the behavior you want works so much better than making your puppy constantly fear you.
I'm not going to deny that kids are soft though.
Did you just read Starship Troopers? That book had great philosophical points regarding children/citizens.
