There's a middle ground. You can advocate for your own self interest without being negative towards other groups overtly. In fact it's totally counter productive to be negative towards other groups and only puts more of a target on your back.

Honestly I think any focus on what other races are doing is kind of counter productive. Minorities can be perceptive to that same message but IRL they will have to do their own accounting in their own communities by and large at least in terms of those who are struggling quantifiably.
