And to band together with people of your skin color for support might mean getting together with family and community members, which is great. But it also might mean grouping together with people who don't have much in common with you, because that's the truth. This works the other way, too. No one should feel ashamed for the sins of their ancestors, or for the sins of humans who LOOK like they could pass as their ancestors.
