And that is respectable, until they forget that an unlawful order is an unlawful order, and according to the UCMJ, it is punishable to be seen out of uniform in a public setting when under orders to be in uniform. They do not, apparantly, take is as seriously as they think they do.
Wouldn't dropping out of ROTC suddenly mean you were held accountable for the year's tuition? That could be a sudden $30,000 expense if you live out of state.
Never did ROTC, so I couldn't tell you, however I will never, and would never, have sacrificed my morals for the fancies of the uneducated lunacy of the moment. I cannot, and will not, speak for another human being, but subjugating yourself to a monetary value shows the Almighty God where you stand, and would be a detriment to your honor regarding the oath of service that I imagine, as I do not have knowledge of, they take upon enlistment in such a service or program.
That's a lot easier to say when you aren't suddenly and unexpectedly facing a $30,000 bill for the year and a complete change of future plans at the age of 18 or 19.
It's a lot easier than starting down the road of sacrificing your immortal soul to eternal damnation. I have been down that road, via another route. Still never wore women's shoes to show solidarity for an abomination of God's law.
Gee, I was forced....... yeah fuck that, put me in the brig.....wait ROTC? I'm still a civilian? Fuck off, going home.
Yup. Be a cold fucking day in hell when I am forced to walk around like a fucking tranny...throw me in the brig and eat my nuts.
Same way cops are "forced" to enforce mask wearing. Enforced by who, the Governor who pulled the rule out of his ass?
Yep
This, right here.
One thing if you were ordered to do this stupid shit - no real choice there except to get Article 15'd.
...but ROTC? Yeah, y'all can just have a big heaping steamy plate of 'go fuck yourselves' if you think I'd participate in that shit as an ROTC member.
Even if active duty, I'll take the 15
I was friends with some ROTC guys growing up and they take it seriously. They believe they're essentially military.
