Wait until you find out everyone making over $150k a year will pay an EV tax if they don’t have an EV car. Precedent is set with Obamacare. You didn’t really think Obamacare was about healthcare for all did you?

And you know what I'll do? I'll go part time and make $75k, or whatever. I'd rather live like that than let people mooch off of me.

Totally. "You work hard, let's take your money and give it to people who don't!" At what point do we just say fuck it? I can also take handouts, relax for once, and go angrily protest "not enough gibs".

Yep that’s why when I finish my degree and double my hourly wage, I plan on reducing my overall hours worked per week. Same money, half the effort. Why pay into this shit system? I’d rather enjoy a modest life.

Yep, the precedent of mandating that you purchase a certain product annually was never going to go to waste. You have to buy a new EV every 5 years to save the planet (healthcare for the planet), donate to leftist groups annually as a salve for your conscience (it's healthcare too!), and let the US turn into a Marxist nation (healthy for socialists). SCOTUS has no problem with it, it's just a tax, not an illegal mandate. Supremely Useless Court.
