If they did it in secret then I don't really care and it was not a Cannonball Run. Why would I trust someone who did something without publishing it? I used to watch the real ones on Mischief.tv until the police started cracking down on the actual racers using the reposted videos people posted where they shouldn't have.

They did publish it, with GPS confirmation and everything. They waited until the statute of limitations passed. You can read about it on Wikipedia.

I don't really care what a Wiki says either, especially when it comes to records or accomplishments, it doesn't work well for that.
