No, absolutely not, Americanism is phenomenal. Its theoretical and philosophical foundation is based on patriotism, populism, Christianity, God, and advocating for us first. That is not some sinister way to live your life. It is a virtuous, righteous, and humble way of living.
Absolutely. Sadly generations of dumbing down those values have led us to the modern cultural landscape. My son's generation (he's 18 in Sept) are noticeably more conservative. But he's had solid moral values instilled by me his entire life. But its not just him that sees the culture as being rotten to the core. Its starting to be the mindset of many. Its weird how having our views as young guys made us thought of as squares and now the Nick Fuentes' of this world are seen as the cool kids and the SJW's as normies.
These values are not only being dumbed down; they are virtually abstained from being taught and have even been perceived as harmful or threatening in modern United States society. It sounds like your son has had a significant nuclear family structure, which Americans have also abandoned in society.
