I concur entirely brother. It is a socially accepted addiction, however I do believe it is one of the most harmful drugs. It is also exceptionally accessible. That is why it is imperative to not give youth technology until they are older. Otherwise we have people who abuse porngraphy for 10 years and then become young men.

There are however, great resources out there if you know someone who suffers from it!

Absolutely. The accessibility is largely what makes it so harmful. You can't digitally download cocaine into your nose, but you can literally find pornography of any persuasion in a matter of seconds from anywhere in the world.

And that availability combined with the limitless novelty and potent delivery evokes an even greater dopamine response than actual sex.

I've definitely benefited from a lot of the faith-based resources that exist now. One year completely porn free. I feel for people who struggled with this back in the 80s and 90s when resources were few and far between.

Congratulations brother, that is a remarkable milestone, you should be proud of yourself for that!

Indeed, and we can also make a competent argument that the porngraphy before the internet was less invasive comparatively to know where there are extreme forms and even illegal types as well. Studies are showing how it can adversely impact our dopamine receptors, similar to cocaine.
