I don't claim to have the answer, though obviously there are many theories. This is what I wonder about most though. What is really the point? Anyone with half a brain can easily tell that there's definitely no NEED for lots of people to get this vaccine. So why do they want us to so badly?

I get that he is the one who pushed to get the thing made in record time and he wants to take credit for it. But I'm not so sure this is the sort of thing I would want credit for.
I personally think Trump bought the hype about the 'rona to an extent. One of his quirks that he has admitted publicly is being a "germaphobe." I think that he was trying to do the right thing, and in that spirit, trusted people who he shouldn't have.
Agree 100%. He was likely acting from a position of concern for people and wanting to do anything to help mitigate human loss and suffering. Infectious diseases are way out of his wheelhouse so he trusted people he shouldn’t have, as you noted.
Some of those people, getting back to your original query, are in the pharmaceutical industry. My experience with them is that they are some greasy motherfuckers. Lack of information and hysteria that we’ve had have been a pharmaceutical exec’s wet dream. I imagine there are some politicians and people in positions of influence (Fauci) that are getting massive kickbacks from drug companies.

Not a theory. Observed fact, in Canada and New Zealand:
those who refuse the jab will be rounded up as a public health menace, into gulags / re-education camps / FEMA camps.
Even with vax you won't be able to work or travel without signing onto the great reset, whereby you forfeit all right to own property. This will appeal to many because all your debt will be wiped out. Which means the IMF owns your house, and anything else you were buying on time.
If they decide to let you keep living in your house they may decide your basement is big enough for 16 homeless people to live in. They all hate you and when they kill you those in control will laugh because everything is going according to plan.
