Looking to get a carry pistol for someone who is older and has wrist issues that makes them sensitive to recoil. They weren't comfortable with a 9mm I let them shoot, so I'm looking for something in a lower caliber if anyone has suggestions.
Ideally it would be below $500, at least before fees/etc. Thank you.

I hope you've shot one of these?? The trigger is absolutely abhorrent. I know why it's that way but my god it's just terrible on this pistol. Try something steel framed to mitigate recoil. Sig p238 would be another one to look at. Steel and much much better shooter. They do have an active safety so that takes a little practice to remember to take the safety off... I have the p938 9mm (gave it to wife), she loves it and it's a great shooting little carry pistol.
thanks
