100% agree that public opinion and "normie outreach" is very important, but there comes a line where debate is just a waste of time, especially when its down to a time to take real action and especially so from a politician.

If there was some reparation's bill, I wouldnt want the republicans to go on tv or social media and whine and whinge about how its not a good idea because the irish were mistreated too and there was slavery in africa before europeans came blah blah blah. Just say "no" and move on.

That's a solid argument.

Let me take it a step further; we should just flat out reject the entire concept of inherited guilt. Even having the discussion of reparations is giving in to their narrative that we aren't all born free and equal.

So I now agree that OP is making the wrong argument to the wrong audience, but the conversation needs to continue.
