Don't worry, they will count that as a mass shooting thanks to Obama. They changed the definition so it could incorporate gang/organized crime shootings. Obama era definition didn't even require people to die for it to be counted. You probably remember such favorites like "there has been 245 mass shootings this year" even though it is March lol
