They're showing he can walk a short distance, because the "he can't walk without assistance" meme is growing - and some moron at the WH thought it would look more "real" by green screening mics onto it.

EDITED: I just rewatched that. It's beyond even just overlaying mics that are green screened. It's impossible for that clip to be like that unless he was on one, too. Holy crap. The mic on the right goes from being in front of him, to being in back of him. Even if it was some intern using After Effects for the first time, a green screen doesn't let you put props in back of someone like that. What the actual fuck.
Apparently this video got rubber stamped by a couple media outlets as it appears that they ran the footage. The incompetence is kind of mind blowing. It's one thing to have a rush job on editing by an ideological lackey come out like crap but its another entirely for this level of work to be promoted as real by multiple major news outlets. It suggests unidirectional communication from the white house to the media outlets with zero journalistic scrutiny. The xiden administration says jump and the media says how high.
