The problem with the layer idea is that it would be a lot of unnecessary work to create those layers. With the mics being the closest objects to the camera they could just be placed on top of the original video. It would also be easier to just have someone hold the microphones to create a video.

Im thinking there are 3 layers: background, biden, and mics.
The layer ordering for the mics and biden was wrong in that scene.
The extra 100days of masking and masks after vaccine are to cover for the fact that they filmed a years worth of biden clips with the mask on.
The purpose of the mask is to hide his mouth so they can overlay whatever audio they want.

I honestly thought we were entering the era of deep-fake videos generated by AI. Its probably still too soon for the mouth to look 100% real.
