I actually fucking love the Chinese people. Their government, not so much.

The fight is against the Chinese Communist Regime and its allies, not against the Chinese who seek their freedom

Most of the components in my PC are made in either Taiwan, Korea, or Malaysia. Intel CPU (malaysis), asus motherboard (tw), samsung nvme SSD (K), Ram (K), Fans San Ace (Jp), and both LCD screens are made with panels manufactured in Korea too. As long as you buy quality components and read the packaging, you can avoid buying most chinese stuff.

I bought a lower control arm for my 1968 Ford Falcon and it was made in Taiwan. I found that a bit shocking.

Unfortunately, you have to bleed out China to bleed out the CCP. https://chinanever.com/

Yeah I visited China a few years ago and loved the people! Shame they are living under the boot of such an oppressive regime. Also that they're also so submissive and don't really seem to mind it.

Reminds me of some other country recently :)

Yuuup. Didn't see it then but sure do now. In fact everywhere. I'm Australian, I live in Korea, and it's in both these places too.

My conservative mum telling me the other day "oh well if they want to say that gender is fluid I guess that's the future and we should get used to it" and my super-political right-libertarian dad saying "it's not such a big deal to wear masks, better not to step out of line if that's what they want" is just fucking depressing. Those two were always the political ones and now as they see their last days coming they're just rolling over and not caring about the world they leave behind.

The mass brainwashing is strong. It is a Brave New World.

They just figured out that they will never be able to fix stupid in their lifetime.

Also that they're also so submissive and don't really seem to mind it.

This is spot on. The reality is, as a whole, China has become an economic superpower in just a few decades, and millions of Chinese have made a fortune. Overall, their lives aren't really all that bad. They don't have too much to complain about day to day.

Easier to tie the collar around the slave when you convince them that it is made of gilded lace.

Sounds like what is starting to happen here.

I speak Chinese and understand the culture pretty well. They aren't submissive, there are just different unwritten rules over there that take years to understand if you don't grow up there. They are very pro-China it's kind of like a big Trump rally over there. They are pretty much united in wanting their country to become rich and powerful, unlike where we are today. Quite honestly I'd much rather live there than here under our Democrats, at least they get shit done to make the country richer. For example they are actually doing real anti-monopoly reform right now, while we just talk about it but do nothing.

That’s why when I talk about COVID, I usually say the CCP Virus instead of the China Virus so they know I’m explicitly insulting the Chinese Communist Party for it.

Same although one aspect of their culture I could do without is kind of a lack of respect for personal space or consideration of others in daily activities. No lines in China just push your way to the front. Let's eat this really smelly thing here so everyone around me needs to smell my stinky food. A big nope from me. Other than that though I love em.

And the whole dog torturing/ eating thing.

RegularAmerican 3 points ago +3 / -0

If it makes you feel better I've been to china. I didn't see one dog being hurt or eaten. I know some parts do it but even they say it's becoming more frowned on. I'm actually more worried about what they're doing to sharks. They kill like 100 million a year or something crazy.

Ate dog once in china, and it was only because the guy I was with knew I liked eating weird stuff so he took me somewhere special to get it. But talking to my chinese coworkers almost none of them have ever eaten dog.

I didn't experience this when I travelled to china as bad as people make it seem. I've ran into chinese americans and people in other countries that crowd your space even more but they're usually polite about it (india comes to mind). I feel like there are 2 different china's. Sort of like america. You can compare how people act in NYC to people on Cody, Wyoming. China is a pretty mixed up place believe it or not, I think people get a picture of North Korea now in their minds.

Well it's definately part of general Chinese culture. That doesn't mean it's everyone or everywhere I never said it was. Compare to Japanese culture for example some aspects like that are night and day. You don't want to be caught eating in public in Japan or jumping the line in the UK. The Chinese are definitely on the opposite end of some of these extremes.

2
RegularAmerican 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh I totally agree I've been around enough to see the differences in cultures. China is a very strange place. Not to say japanese or brits don't do weird stuff but of course the chinese seem almost alien to the west. It is a rude more heartless society then alot of people are used to. But there's also hundreds of millions of chinese people that are so nice and simple. I mean I would get on a train and chinese people would sometimes be so cool to a foreign stranger. People would take pictures with me and their families like I was a celebrity. I've never been embraced by people like that in the west. But I will agree we have a more desirable society no questions. I can't see the chinese people being that monolithic even of their under CCP control. They aren't like the japanese were during the empire of the sun. They don't have that kind of social cohesion. But they are afraid of their government/police so of course they fall in line. Wouldn't you if by speaking out you were putting your entire family in danger?

I'm not saying you're unaware of these things I'm sure you are. IMO we need the help of all the chinese people who are also against the CCP, they are a key ally. Like taiwan for example.

It actually really pisses me off what the CCP has done to China. Pre-communist China's history, culture, architecture, etc is fascinating and beautiful.

I know. Think about what communism has erased in China when it comes to wisdom and ancient tradition. I’m sure their government has destroyed tons of entrepreneurs, extremely smart people, genius inventions, and ways of living when they killed millions. They were communist dissenters, after all.

It’s so sad that a lot of Chinese have to go rogue and steal from other countries just to survive. Not to mention, peddling shit quality products and ripoffs for enough money to eat and live. The rich ones are probably mostly, if not all, commies; they need to pay a price.

That’s why I despise American companies that enslave the Chinese and other countries for pennies. It’s so immoral and greedy. “It’s the best opportunity for them available” my ass. How can you justify paying that much money in the 21st century? They fucking kill themselves at alarming rates, it’s horrible.
