The left hates Christianity because many of its members are disillusioned (former) Christians, and because it is a "white" religion. It has nothing to do with the core tenets of the faith, which in their essence are hardly distinguishable from those of any other faith suitably interpreted.

If Europeans had been Muslim and Arabs Christian then the leftists would be attacking Islam and promoting Christianity.
