That is just his way of saying the payoff for the next scamming of the American people hasn't hit his accounts yet.

Just as soon as turtle calls for the resignations of the military personnel that publicly issued politically biased threats.

Right after he begins a comprehensive Senate investigation of the 2020 election fraud.

Immediately following his call to remove Section 203 protection from The GOP's obvious political enemies in social media.

Directly after he investigates the Russia hoax coup against President Trump.

In fact I'm going to start holding my breath right now

He will "negotiate" to save the filibuster, but just throw us under the bus.

We'll see him walking into his office with the attorney general. A month later he'll announce a deal to eliminate the filibuster.

He would.

McConnell clearly loves power. If the filibuster is removed, that power is gone. It's in his own interest to keep the filibuster.

I also think he worked out a deal with Schumer where he wouldn't cause an uproar over the election and he would sell Trump out if the filibuster stayed in place. I wouldn't be shocked if McConnell helped the two Democrats in GA steal those seats.

I think his anger is real in this and I think he got stabbed in the back by Schumer. Which he should have seen coming. And I think McConnell is serious about really fucking with Democrats with this.

It's in his own interests.

Senate shutdown

what's he going to do? Tell all the republican senators not to show up?

Can't they use the filibusters to prevent the removal of the filibuster?

The filibuster is automatic. It's always in effect unless it's a budget vote.

McConnell wants to ENSURE that no Republican is there and can be swayed to remove the filibuster.

And yes, you need 60 votes to remove the filibuster. With a walk out/shut down, he's making sure by peer pressure that no Republican can be swayed or bullied into voting with Democrats.
