Interesting that you are defending vaccines in general and offer no defense of the covid vaccine. All vaccines are not the same, and comparing vaccines that have been around for decades to this new untested covid vaccine is laughable at best.

Even tried and true vaccines like some of the ones you've mentioned, are very different today than they were when they were first introduced. They've gotten better and safer with more research and time.

Yes, vaccines can be improved over time. I expect the Covid vaccines to improve too. But the mentality that concerns me is not the one where it’s a wait and see approach. It is those that today are swearing off ever taking a Covid vaccine. That just seems short sighted and counterproductive.

Why do you even care what other people do with their bodies? Take the vaccine if you want, you should be protected right?

I would never take a covid vaccine because it's pointless, the disease is harmless to the vast majority of the population.

It’s an infectious disease and you may have noticed that life around the world has changed a bit since the outbreak. I’d like to see more people vaccinated so that we can get back to normal. As for the idea that once I’m inoculated (which I’m not and won’t be for some more months) I’m all set and shouldn’t worry, that doesn’t seem correct. All signs seem to indicate that we can expect to need to get vaccinated again, perhaps annually as with the flu. Just because I may get a shot eventually does not mean that the virus will never be a concern for me again.

It’s great that you find the disease to be harmless to the vast majority of the population. Just ignore the rest of it though like how easily it spreads and what it does to those who aren’t so lucky.

The “never in my body” idea in the face of a global pandemic of historic proportions just makes no sense to me.
