Nice analogies but the point is that these are vaccines to combat the worst pandemic in a century. Rolling these out quickly and efficiently is a huge step toward getting us back closer to normal. I don’t believe the boogeymen stories about this virus being a hoax and welcome the development of this vaccine. I’ve seen people get crushed by this virus and many more who tested positive without incident.

There is a strain in this thread that rejects the idea that this vaccine will ever be acceptable to them. That seems unnecessarily dangerous to me. I can understand if there’s concern that these shots are not fully tested. But I don’t get the “never in my body” line of thought. This virus is likely to be around in various forms for the foreseeable future. I hope that everyone will be amenable to taking it so that we as a society can put this virus behind us and archive it like mumps, polio, and so many other vicious infectious diseases.

Trump deserves much credit for Operation Warp Speed. Let’s celebrate this victory by rolling out the vaccines and get our kids back in schools and people again able to interact in person.
