tldr: Let's build a city and fuck off from society.

We must build our own cities with enough cumulative firepower and farming capacity that we can tell the government to fuck off. Mexico did it why can't we. And don't say, well they'll just come kill us and take our shit... I say don't be a doomer, or a gloomer. Look to the future and let's make this shit happen. Also, shoot back dumbass.

We need 500+ acres to make a decent farming area with a well spread city, the more land the better as we can bring more people to bulster out defenses and farming. As shitty as it is Solar will likely be our friend whereas we will refuse to take any outside assistance. It will need to have good access to water so either wells galore or by a freshwater lake, river, or build some dams on streams and flow it into a manmade lake.

Any ideas to add?

I had a neighbor as a child who constantly fished. We lived near some excellent fishing areas. He's still around in his mid 80's and still goes fishing almost daily. He doesn't do any farming. He trades with hunters and farmers. Farming is great but really need other skills in a self supportive community.

One thing I don't understand about our farming is much of it is not near main waterways for some reason. We built levees around the mouth of the Mississippi for example which use to be excellent farm land. All that water and good silt now wasted goes into the ocean. The coast is also eroding in La due to no silt buildup. Farms should be near rivers IMO. The areas will flood from time to time with no levees but that is the point. Flooding should be a good thing by and large, not some horrible event.

Still have some very good farmland down there. And believe it or not, the Christmas trees that we've recycled, down in the marshes, have actually helped with the erosion.

Some of La coast is building up but not enough to matter. Most of it is absolutely washing away. Have to have the silt from the river over flow. That is how it works. Silt grows the coastline, creates more and more brackish marsh. Christmas trees are more of a band aid on a gun shot. It won't work for hundreds of miles of coastal erosion.
