This doesn't appear to be a green screen. It's possible, but after years of editing what jumps out to me here is that it is a layered video. At least three layers deep. They've used a masked/clipped layer to cut in the mic and then re-layer over his hands.
Most people think of editing as cutting different angles and clips together (jumping around in time) but there is the other type of editing where you layer multiple video files on top of one another to create a scene that didn't actually take place. That layering is what we see here.
So, really, why? What reason would they have for doing this? Best I can figure is that he is so incompetent (dementia) that he can't be trusted to give an interview without royally messing it up. They filmed him walking over to his handler with que cards or a teleprompter, read his script, and then cut in the audio and video of a reporter(s) afterwards.
Also, this editing is offensively bad. I could have done better with decade old equipment in my first year of editing. Like, can they not afford someone at least mildly competent at producing their propaganda? If they lie about this, what the hell are we supposed to trust?
My thoughts exactly. It appears to be a poorly edited composited video and the only reason I can think of as to why it's done so badly is because it was rushed. That or it's been done purposely bad to see how far they can fool the general public, which if recent years has proven anything, they'll believe anything.
1) Why would you mask and layer a shot where all the elements are already there? You wouldn't. So that means some element was missing.
What was missing? What needed to be added or moved? Was it:
Scenario A) The mics were added (unlikely)
In which case just paste them in on top and be done with it. Biden is intended to be behind them at all times so there's literally no point to have him masked... yet he clearly is masked! He can't go over those mics without being masked!
Scenario B) Biden was added (makes way more sense)
If Biden was the missing element, it makes sense for him to be masked, and that obviously means green screen. It explains why you'd even bother with this in this shot in the first place.
2) Why would your news team selectively edit in shit, like mics, which takes time, in a trivial interview that makes no difference either way, only to have your competitor run their unedited shot 30 minutes earlier with no mics and leave viewers like, wtf, why did this one group add mics in post that's fucking weird. Just run the clip of Biden.
So no, they did not film Biden faking an interview ON LOCATION then add reporters after. They filmed Biden OFF LOCATION then added him to the location with or without reporters.
Good points. I have no idea why they would do this. Its possible they did a triple layer but literally none of these scenarios make an sense at all. If he is on a green screen it is a hell of a lot of work to get it to match the perspective, angles, lighting, etc. It would be so much easier to just have him act out a presser and then paste in the mics. If so, then there is zero reason (except incompetence) to make a third layer of his arm.
