Yes, the media's "debunking" here takes the form of assuming the truth is obvious (not demonstrating it), and conditioning people to treat anything else as ridiculous. I agree it's possible it is an illusion based on a number of factors coming together deceptively. But not because it's been demonstrated, nor because I believe a "technical glitch" could be responsible, nor because people's honest reaction to suspicious video is only evidence of "rich imagination", etc.
