Its the insulting tone, it's kind of like the forum poster who calls someone a dumb ass for asking a question instead of just answering their question. It's very easy to just pass by a forum thread if you don't have any real input.
Is not an insulting tone, its just as humans we do not like to have our beliefs and opinions challenged and get way too defensive. It is impossible to avoid, the fact is watching television is stupid and a waste of time especially if you are watching things you don't even enjoy.

If I see somebody ask a stupid question or say something I disagree with or find annoying then I am usually going to say something about it. I think everybody should speak freely regardless of what other people think.

I'm not. I quit watching that shit about 16 years ago when every 5 minutes into my show they were advertising "Queer eye for the straight guy". I had no desire to watch that show but by the time they played all the different commercials in one hour, I felt like I had already seen it.
We had sky angel for a while when it was a thing. Comcast gets my money for internet so I can get on here and be berated for supporting shit but that's about it.
