I thought it was just a meme! But there are actually people out there who think wearing a mask that doesn't protect against viruses over a mask that also doesn't protect against viruses (says so on the box even) will magically protect them from viruses.
I wonder if I could convince people like that that if they give me $10 twice they magically get $20 back.
He was a complete asshole by the way. Barged all over me screaming about how I should keep my distance in an empty fucking store. I told him he should add a few more masks cause clearly the oxygen is still getting through.
Colleagues at my work have been doing it since hr sent an email saying it was suggested. They are also the same ones congratulating each other on getting the vaccine like someone just announced they got engaged or are having their first child.
