In many southern and midwestern states, Democrats run (or represent themselves) as Republicans because they are in strongholds that won't elect them with a (D) next to their names. This is legit and the reason why many Repubs in the south and midwest are absolute fuckbags. This is not meant to take away from the fact that many Repubs in these areas are also deepstaters 4 lyfe.
