Lots has happened. Perhaps if you clearly defined what you mean by "happen" and considered that getting to that point is a process, youd notice more "happenings" you can celebrate? Think WW11. If the end, the peace treaty surrender, is the only thing you consider a significant happening; the only event that could please you, then you would have missed out on many victories/celebrations that lead to that point. Bottom line, suit yourself :-)
