I wonder what the effective arc distance one sniper team can cover is? Then the total walled area.

This seems like a word problem from math class

The Mexico-United States border extends 3,145 kilometers (1,954 mi).

if we had sniper nests every 1 mile then we would have 1954 sniper nests.

at a salary of $50k per sniper and 1 sniper per nest, thats $97,700,000 per year. Which is a huge savings over building a wall...

and we have lots of ammo to use up before it expires...

I say you need 20 snipers. Don’t tell anyone where or when they’re working. Not many will chance it.

A series of thermal sensing drones patrolling the border and a QRF team is all thats required.

Killer drones or mines would be cheaper.

1954 miles and people think they would be caught doing this. If I had a job in texas I'd have 2 jobs

about a mile... a little more for some. A .338 Lapua or .50BMG can certainly reach that far.

Contact Anzio Ironworks and kit the snipers out with 20mm Vulcan rifles. Nothing says fuck you like an anti tank round whizzing past your face ☺️

Having been in that very situ, I can attest to the fact that you're 100% correct.

Don't even need people. Samsung makes a great product for this:
