Alcoholism and "sex addiction" are both just excuses people use for their poor behavior. Is just more people who refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Just stop drinking and sticking your dick into everything that moves, is not hard thing to do.
Generalization. Lots of people don't get their identity wrapped up in the labels of "alcoholic" or "sex addict", but have definitely engaged in compulsive or obsessive alcohol/porn abuse in the past and have taken the proper steps to work on it.
I will agree with you that there are a ton of people who won't take ownership of their lives and use it as a crutch. But not everybody.
Ya I don't disagree that it is a problem but is not an addiction, it is temptation and anybody is fully capable of not partaking in temptation if they choose. Some men are just weaker then other men.
Btw I have watched plenty of porn in my day lmao I am not a saint, I have indulged in degeneracy and regret.

It is common with addicts that they become incapable to choose (things unrelated to their addiction).
