GOP votes to create a committee to investigate and something will happen in 5-10 years, maybe.
The purpose of the committee is to create the illusion something will happen.
Nothing ever happens.
Take the fictitious "Durham Report" as an example. There are braniacs on here that still think that is going to save the day.
The purpose of committees is to gain info in order to craft legislation/gain support for legislation, educate the public to inform their voting, uncover problems/crimes in the executive branch. What's uncovered is the encourage reform or criminal investigations/charges. Congress has ZERO power to prosecute or file charges. Our FBI/DOJ/judicial system has been corrupt/politicized for a long time so duh, of course committee investigations didn't lead to more. Plus our media is equally corrupt so there was no real pressure/public out cry. "Nothing ever happens"? A jaw dropping amount of earth shaking things have happened dear Eyes Wide Shut. This past four plus years has seen a normie Great Awakening. Phase One of Drain the Swamp is lowering the water level so you can see what's been hidden. Only then do you have the support to actually do what needs to be done despite the Swamps bitter screeching.
