The pols we know by name are their minions, and most of them don't even know of their masters. These slimy pols love to grift - that's what makes them reliable minions - and the Chinese take advantage in any way they can by making deals with slimy pols with their "commie" money. Except they're not really commies anymore, more like feudalistic totalitarians under a recently crowned dictator. The real kings work with the Chinese if and when it suits them, as they do with lesser regimes the world over.
