Random thought: the concept of “nonessential” medical procedures is definitely normalizing the idea of rationed healthcare.

This just occurred to me when I tried to schedule an appointment with my ear doc today and was told it was “nonessential” by the Kaiser website.

I find the idea ridiculous because to me being able to hear clearly is essential.

Will your insurance reimburse you for medical bills for treatment outside your network/ state?

It may be you need to travel to a Red State to get your treatment and then file for reimbursement.
