I used to be libertarian, but I believe that we need a state to function as a cohesive society to a degree. With that said, yes, I dont agree with the "legalize everything" crowd, although they have some good points here and there. I think society is better when we aim to raise people up and give everyone an equal opportunity at life. Vices dont do that, and if anything they hold people back from realizing their full potential. And the effect is especially severe when the person is influenced by vice below the age of 20.

For example, 24.1% to 29% of online porn is sex trafficking victims, and thats not something we're talking about. Drug cartels operate in the california mountains just like they do in Mexico, growing marijuana that is already legal in California, but growing illegally grown marijuana that introduces harmful pesticides to the ecosystem, so legalizing and regulating does not always remove the black market money, arms, and illegal activities that come with legalization.

Theres definitely a lot of complex parts to these issues, and right now the lack of regulation is hurting more than its benefitting.
