A LOT of foreign vehicles are assembled here but not made here. They make the parts overseas, ship them here, unpack them and have a 16$ an hour employee assemble them. Thats really no different than calling my new PC tower stand 'made in America' because I assembled the parts that were made in China myself.
I only buy cars made in the USA. I prefer if it is an American company but I'll buy anything made here

Yesh, it takes a lot of research. I have family members making parts for a Ford vehicle and it's made in Michigan so that's good enough for me
