Your solution sounds worse than the problem. It's not the threat of kidnapping and violence by the state that gets culture straightened out. It's social status. We need to give married parents the HIGHEST social status again, and premarital sex should destroy your reputation. That's the way that works.

We tried that.

We were quite permissive in Europe about these sorts of things.

Look where it got us.

It's time to be a lot less permissive now.
